Made this bag on plane to Paris and it was great for toting my shopping. I haven’t lined it yet and might not. LOVE all of my CrochetPark goodies!!
I made the hobo purse and it turned out great! I changed 2 things though. My friend wanted more of a curve at the top edge than a point, so I added a few extra stitches to do that.I also used the " thread, string, yarn" that was provided for sewing the lining to the purse. I did not like the color so I used embroidery floss that was closer to the purse color. It was much better!
Tutorials were fantastic. I was pleased with the finished product.
I’ve made two CrochetPark™ Haven Hobo crochet kits so far. The kits have everything you need and the tutorial comes both in left and right handed. There is also a very descriptive paper guide. This time I decided to order the CrochetPark™ Sunny Weekend Hobo Crochet Kit but didn’t want the advertised colour in sand. Therefore I contacted customer services who were excellent and fulfilled my request in a different colour yarn. Would definitely recommend and use again. Lovely project. Would love for it to be stocked in the UK to reduce delivery times.
This hobo bag is great! I made it for myself. I have already placed six more orders for the Aveline bag and have one more. In addition, I have another order for the Hobo bag. Question for you - can I get a different material color like red, black or gray for the Hobo bag? Second question - I’m asking if you might have more scarf colors for the Aveline bag? I loved making this bag. I am not a beginner. I think this would be a little difficult for a beginner. I will be using this bag all summer. My family loved it. The video instructions are very helpful and easy to follow.

My first time following a crochet pattern. Found out I am not very good at it but maybe only I will see the errors. I got this pattern as I wanted a cross body bag, however fully extended the bag sits to high so disappointed. Maybe if you are short it will not be an issue.
Finally made this lovely bag. I crochet and knit and found it easy to follow. Now just need the summer days to use it.
Only started crocheting in October and made this bag! I am a visual learning so found it so much easier to follow the video instructions, but had the printed pattern as backup! Had everything accept a pair of scissors! Will definately give another bag a go! Even had enough yarn left over to make a sunglasses Wrap to match! X

I got this crochet kit for 2026 summer bag and it looks sooo GREAT. I also bought and made two more bags. One is Sunny Beach Tote crochet kit for my daughterand the other one is Garden Bee Crochet Bag Kit. I also bought and they are on the way. One is Rainbow Waffle Tote crochet kit and daily carryall tote crochet kit. They are not hard at all to make as I am a beginner. The tutorial is so helpful and easy to follow. I just LOVE, LOVE, and LOVE them all.

Enjoyed making the bag Only down side the magnetic clasps do not work They were not easy to sew on and once on they did not hold together so removed them Other than that it was enjoyable to do something different
I found it hard first, after taking it apart because I did not have enough stitches, then the bottom part hard as I am an 87 year old I have trouble with my strength ,finally I did not put the lining in as I cut it wrong, but on the whole I enjoyed it as something different to do.

I enjoyed making this bag for my sister in law. She chose it. It is easy to follow the instructions from the videos, even for beginners. Adding the lining was extra work compared to another bag I've completed, but it was worth it. My sister in law LOVES her new bag!

I certainly would not recommend this bag for a beginner, and it does not take between 6-8hrs! It took me a week and a half!The cord is extremely hard to work with, making fingers sore after just an hour or two. The straps are not proper leather with a very thin strip coated in a plastic substance which tears easily when sewing. I was also supplied with 2xholed straps and not 1 with a hole/1 without as per booklet/videos. Talking of the videos, the music was so annoying, it drowned out the instructions being given! It was a right turnoff! Doing the lining was a nightmare and nearly gave up until my upholstered husband stepped in with a sewing machine. To have hand sewed it would have been messy and a pain. I think you should reclassify this to "someone with crochet experience". The end result wasn't too bad but not up to my usual expectations.
1. This is not for an "absolute beginner". I am not an absolute beginner and this was frustrating, not enjoyable. The cord was VERY rough to work with, my fingers were raw. I wonder if the tutorial was using a silkier cord to make it look easier to work with the tiny hook. This is NOT a 6 hour project. More like a 24 hour project. Did you not have a test group of "absolute beginners" try this out? 2. The AI bot voice and video instructions were NOT clear and friendly to a beginner. And the constant loop of the elevator music behind the voice was all out frustrating to hear. For example of a great beginner tutorial video check out Secret Yarnery - I think she is one of the best for friendly, step-by-step tutorials on YouTube. 3. After getting through to the end, and excited to finally be done with it, I was VERY disappointed after attaching the leather strap, as you must have changed the spec on the length of the leather to save money, as no way is it long enough to be a cross-body bag. And this is what I bought the kit for. This product photos show a much longer strap. I am a petite person, and even on the longest length (as shown in my pic), this bag's "V" is hugging my boob. It seems it is at least 4-6" short to be a practical cross-body bag. I guess I could try to buy a longer strap somewhere, but after struggling through the frustration of hand-sewing the leather ends on (matching the holes was NOT easy), I am not sure it's worth my time. Great marketing. Poor product alignment with marketing.
I am very impressed with my Haven Hobo Tote bag kit. It has everything you need to make the bag and most importantly the instruction videos are very clear and easy to follow. I am a complete beginner and my bag is three quarters made in just in few weeks. I am definitely going to buy more. The presentation of the kits is very nice so would also make a lovely present.
Not bad for my first attempt! My biggest advice is that if you make an error, back up and correct it. The videos are very detailed. I regret not backing up one of the angled edges and correcting the fact that I wasn't crocheting it perfectly. I'm sure it's a problem only Il notice though. Now to go buy another one!

Simple classic design. Easy to make and assemble. The lining elevates the bag design and prevents small items from slipping through the mesh pattern. The handle is well made and stylish.
With the combination of writen and video instructions it was easy to follow. The hardest part for me and the part I'm not so pleased with is the sewing in of the lining and attaching the magnets, but this may be because I'm not great at sewing.
I think the kit is excellent. I am on my second purse and will order more as friends are asking me to make it for them. I am am experienced at crocheting but for beginners I would think that the videos included would be better if they could be stopped and rewound if needed.
The instructions were easy to follow, the materials were quality materials and more than enough for the project. I absolutely love it.
I’ve already made one bag & love it. Took it on a cruise & had many people ask about it. When I told them I made it, they wanted to know where they could get it. I enjoyed making the 1st one, so I ordered another. Haven’t started it yet. Looking forward to making this one.
